Andorreando por el Mundo Explore Libya With IntoLibya

We recently had the joy of welcoming Elisabeth and Sergio, the couple behind Andorreando por el Mundo, one of the most trusted Spanish travel blogs, on a 7 day journey to explore Libya. From the moment they landed, we provided a Spanish-speaking translator who stayed with them throughout their entire trip. Having someone who speaks your language makes every conversation easier and every experience richer, especially in a country with as much history and culture as Libya.

A Trip Designed to Feel Easy and Welcoming

Our goal was to give them a comfortable and stress-free experience. We arranged transportation, accommodation, guides and all necessary permits so they could focus on enjoying the country. What followed was a trip filled with history, warm people and moments they will remember for years.

Their Libya Itinerary

Sabratha

Their journey began in Sabratha, where ancient Roman ruins sit right beside the Mediterranean Sea. The vast theatre and detailed carvings made it clear why this site is considered one of Libya’s great treasures.

Leptis Magna

From there they continued to Leptis Magna, a city that often surprises visitors with its size and level of preservation. Exploring the Arch of Septimius Severus, the Hadrianic Baths and the sprawling Forum with Spanish explanations helped them understand the stories behind the stones.

Nalut & Qaser El Haj

The mountain town of Nalut offered a completely different atmosphere. High above the desert, they visited the Amazigh granary, learned about traditional Berber life and took in the panoramic views of the Nafusa Mountains.

Ghadames

Ghadames, known as the Pearl of the Desert, was one of the highlights of their trip. The whitewashed old city, its shaded alleys and rooftop paths felt like walking through a living museum. With their translator, they were able to speak with local families, share tea and hear personal stories about life in this oasis.

Tripoli

Their final stop was Tripoli. They explored the Old Town, visited the Red Castle and spent time in the city’s lively markets. They told us how much they appreciated being able to communicate freely during their stay, which made their experience more personal and meaningful.

Their Impression of Libya

Throughout their journey, the couple consistently mentioned how safe, comfortable and well-organised everything felt. Libya might be unfamiliar to many travelers, but with experienced guides, reliable transport and full language support, it becomes a destination that is not only accessible but deeply rewarding.
